Incredible show. My first show of the Dream
Tour and I'm not disappointed, I think they did their best songs.
I was really happy to hear "open" with 10
seconds of "tape", since I didn't do the Wish Tour, and since it is a song
I really wanted to see live. Then, the sequence
of "If only tonight we could sleep" and "Sinking" was moving.
"The loudest sound" had nothing different
from the LP's version, however they changed the bass on "End",
but that's quite a good version, it is more
powerful.
The second encore was unbelievable !!! Three
songs taken from one of my favorite album : FAITH, brilliant!
After that, everybody thought the concert
was over, but then they came back playing "M" (beautiful), "play
for today" and everybody was singing as usual,
"just like heaven" (that's when you think : God damned, why
am I in the pit !!!).
They finished the show with a short version of "A Forest", it was great.
I am looking forward to going to Paris !

Before the show, I was next to the lady who
is doing the lighting on the tour. So, I was just close to all the mixing
tables. Then, this lady put the setlists on
his table (two setlists, one for the main show, one for the encores).
I was really happy to read three encores (the
encore tracks turned me crazy). I hoped that the setlist would be
rigously respected. That's what they done,
except that I noticed that "Just like heaven" was not written on the
setlist. So they play it as an extra song.
Maybe because the people and the show was really hot yesterday. Robert
seamed to appreciate.
The Zenith is 7000 places and was completely
full and so crowdy that some peoples were sat on the alley stairs.
They played for 3 hours, incredible!!
The really great moment in the main show was
100 years (very, very loud and a lot of lights, red lightings).
Everybody turned mad.
The encores were so great that there is no
words to describe how wonderfull it was. Such like atomic balls (as we
said here in France).
At the end of the show, all the audience stand up for five minutes, claiming and shouting.
I have seen the cure many times since 1981
(every tour except the 1983, 1984,1996 tour) and I can say this show
was one of the best one I have ever seen since
1989.
Anyway, yesterday was a great night.
