  • Ok, I really need some help with the current tour. So far I only have a ticket scan for the Fuji Rock Festival and that's it. If you have a scan/photo  of any other tickets for the tour, please send them in. Also, there are very few reviews for the first 2 shows. I'm hoping it's just a language thing, but if you are going to any of the upcoming shows, please consider writing a review for me to post. And if the local papers run a review, please let me know. And how about a few photos? Please? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

  • Update: Thanks to everyone for helping out with the ticket scans. You guys truly are the best. To see which ones I'm still missing, please check the tour dates page. Thank you again!

  • Robert has posted a reply about the complaints of ticket prices being too high:

    - by CURE:ROBERT

    TICKET PRICES?

    C'MON!

I DID PRICE COMPARISONS WITH AT LEAST A DOZEN OTHER COMPARABLE (IN MY OPINION!) ACTS THAT HAD PLAYED AT EVERY NORTH AMERICAN VENUE IN THE LAST 6 MONTHS...

AND OUR TICKET PRICES ARE NOT HIGH!

ALTHOUGH I ADMIT THEY ARE MORE THAN THEY WERE IN 1992...

    ANYWAY

ITS CALLED CONSUMER CHOICE I THINK...

    ON A BRIGHTER NOTE:

WE ARE PLAYING SHOWS IN MEXICO A FEW DAYS AFTER TEXAS...

    DETAILS POSTED HERE SOON!

    NOW FOR SINGAPORE...
    RSX

    PS
I THINK THE HOLLYWOOD BOWL JUST SOLD OUT...

    WHATEVER THAT MEANS?

Just checked Ticketmaster and the show is not sold out, but looks to be close. Of course many of the tickets are in the hands of ticket scalpers/brokers/scum, so there are still plenty of tickets available for the show if you're willing to pay their prices.

  • And about those shows in Mexico, the rumors are already starting:

  • "There's a rumour on http://laplaza.eleconomista.com.mx/plaza2005.nsf/(all)/C5E8B69EA5448523862573290001116A?OpenDocument that The Cure would play Mexico City on Oct 20th, only two days after the MTV awards... and MTVLA is already broadcasting the news about the MTV awards in Mexico City... I guess it's only a matter of waiting for "official" confirmation."

    (Thanks Zeeba)

  • Another new interview, this one from the Sunday Star Times (also added to the Interviews page).

  • Cure to play MTV Latino Video Music Awards in Mexico City on Oct. 18th:

  • “THE CURE”
SET TO PERFORM AT “LOS PREMIOS MTV LATINOAMERICA 2007”
TO TAKE PLACE IN MEXICO CITY ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 18TH

Previously Announced Performers Include International Pop Star Avril Lavigne and Mexico’s own legendary rock band Cafe Tacuba, to perform
    live at the show

Miami, FL, July 27, 2007 – MTV Latin America announced today that English alternative rock legends, The Cure will perform at “Los Premios
MTV Latinoamérica” on Thursday, October 18th at 9pm from “El Palacio de los Deportes” in Mexico City. The announcement comes on the heels of the channel’s press conference in Mexico earlier this week announcing the show.

With over three decades making music, The Cure has been known for their exceptional talent since the late 70’s and for serving as a major influence to many Latin American artists from the 80’s such as “Soda Stereo” and “Caifanes”, as well as with other bands from around the world including “My Chemical Romance” from New Jersey to “The Rasmus” from Helsinki.

One of the first alternative bands to have chart and commercial success, The Cure became not only a musical icon but developed a cult following
around their distinctive image and style.  The Cure became an international phenomenon and is one of the most successful alternative bands of our time having released twelve studio albums and over thirty singles, with a thirteenth album in the works.

"We are extremely excited to welcome The Cure to ‘Los Premios MTV’,” said Jose Tillan, Senior Vice President of Music and Content for MTV /
Vh1 Latin America and Executive Producer of Los Premios MTV 2007.  “To offer our fans in Latin America such an emblematic and successful band
is tremendous.  This year’s show will certainly bring an eclectic mix of musical talent and a performance by ‘The Cure’ is sure to make for an
    unforgettable event.”

In 2004, MTV presented a well deserved tribute to the English band when taping MTV Icon: The Cure, which included performances and testimonials from various artists and celebrities that have been influenced directly by the band including “AFI”, “Blink 182” and “The Deftones”, amongst
others.  Recently the band’s leader, Robert Smith collaborated with Korn during the Korn MTV Unplugged joining the band for the songs “In Between Days” and “Make Me Bad”.

The Cure has not just gained power in the intermittent punk movement that is currently garnering success with the likes of “Avril Lavigne” in
the pop world, “Panda” in the rock arena and in the never-ending Goth movement among youth, who in the darkest days of their lives have only
renewed their faith in this band, which not only defines itself as a simple genre or style, but rather as a personal and universal influence.

“Los Premios MTV Latinoamérica” reflect the music and attitude of youth in Latin America today, and the show brings together a variety of
regional Latin American pop and rock artists and international acts -- making it a truly unique music experience.  The ‘Premios’ ceremony will
air on MTV Latin America to more than 24 countries. In addition, it will be seen on MTV Tr3s in the US and on various select broadcast stations
    throughout Latin America.

Update: El Universal and Rocksonico have articles about it.

    (Thanks stoiterno and Chivi Cure)

  • A partial setlist, review and photo links have been added to the Fuji Rock Festival page.

  • For the Charlotte pre-sale today, you can use the code QUICK or CATS. Both have pulled floor seats.

  • For the KROQ Hollywood Bowl pre-sale today, use the code Lullaby. Seems to be pulling some pretty good seats.

  • July 26th

  • Just sent this to the L.A. alert list - info on the KROQ Hollywood Bowl pre-sale and a contest to win HB tickets & a trip to New Zealand:

Still haven't received the e-mail for this one. If anyone has it, please send it in. Thanks.

Also, KROQ is giving away Hollywood Bowl tickets and a trip to see The Cure in New Zealand:

    (Thanks John)

  • And from the Charlotte alert list - word of a Live Nation/Nokia pre-sale:

  • Live Nation / Nokia will have a pre-sale on friday morning at 10am eastern. You can access the pre-sale here:

    http://www.livenation.com/event/getEvent/eventId/293663/

    The pre-sale code is QUICK.

I don't know yet if this will also work for the "Premium" pre-sale at Ticketmaster, but I'll let you know if I hear anything else.

  • Here's a part of the Herald Sun interview that wasn't included in the on-line version:

  • CURE FOR NOSTALGIA
Cure fans will have to wait slightly longer for the next instalment of their re-issues. Next in the que are 1989's classic Disintegration, 1990's Mixed Up and 1992's Wish.
They won't surface until next year at the earliest.
"They're half-ready", Robert Smith says. "I gave up on compiling the extra disc".
However fans will be rewarded for their patience.
"The extra disc for Disintegration will be great", he says. "It's very atmospheric. There are some strange versions of some of the songs".
Meanwhile the remix album Mixed Up will come with a bonus disc of new remakes by "contemporary" remixes.

Smith has also discovered the missing tapes for the 80's live concert The Cure in Orange, which will be issued on DVD along with 1993's Show.
Rifling through old Cure tapes in his archive isn't only good for material for bonus discs.
Smith has uncovered 3 songs which he's reworking for the new Cure album.
"I was loath to put them on as extras; I'd thought they'd work well if they were played by this band", Smith says.
"One's really early, between Pornography and The Top, from 1983. The other are from the Kiss Me period, 1986-87. I'm sure I'll find more, we did loads of stuff that didn't get used on Disintegration".

Smith is also preparing a comprehensive DVD for The Cure's 30th anniversary in 2009.
"It's all the live footage that hasn't come out, lots of TV stuff I've got on video. That's the full stop. Once that's done, that's it for the re-issuing and remastering".

    (Thanks Bomber2007)

  • Another new interview - this one from The Japan Times (also added to the Interviews page).

  • The Daily Telegraph in Australia has a new interview with Robert today. I've put up a scan of it in the Photo Gallery

  • (Thanks Brett)

  • And here's a different version of the above interview, this one from the Herald Sun (also added to the Interviews page).

  • Hamish McKenzie has posted a transcript of his full interview with Robert.

  • (Thanks Hamish)

  • The final cure.com pre-sale is today. The Charlotte tickets will go on sale today at 10am eastern. The pre-sale code is 9SRXDE

  • Interested in swapping or trading Cure tour tickets?

  • "I set up this myspace site as a venue to swap or sell tickets: http://www.myspace.com/curetickets
Maybe it will work, maybe it wont..."

    (Thanks Joe)

  • Local tv commercial on VH1 for the Hollywood Bowl show:

  • "I saw 4Tour promotional commercial on VH1. They showed scenes from The Cure Festival 2005 DVD. It just said that they're on tour. It only
talked about that they were performing at the Hollywood Bowl and that tickets will be on sale this Saturday at 10am. I guess they are actually
    giving promotion!"

    (Thanks Johanna)

  • Fender Bass VI up for auction:

  • "I'm selling my vintage Fender Bass VI on ebay, thought some of  your site visitors might be interested as it's just like the one Robert used in the early part of his career right up to and on Disintegration...apart from the colour of course it's the same late period model (blocks and binding on the neck, like the one he revisited for the trilogy concert)..which in my honest opinion has a far superior sound and feel to the earlier ones. You can listen to some tracks I recorded with it  if you like, here: http://www.myspace.com/orangeyellowredsongs

Oh yeah here's the auction link! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120145537957"

    (Thanks Philip)

  • (The Return of) Curespotting:

    (Thanks Antti)

"Intro has a short newspiece on The Cure - nothing really new, though... http://www.intro.de/news/23042257"

    (Thanks Dennis)

    July 24th

  • At last, the final show goes on sale this week. Here's the info I sent to the Charlotte list last night:

  • Finally! The Charlotte Bobcats Arena have listed the Cure show on their website.

Ticket Prices are $34.50 and $54.50.

And according to their website, they will be using a "half house" intimate stage setup. Only the floor and 100 level seats will be sold.

The pre-sale is still scheduled for July 26th at 10am eastern. And no, the password has not been posted yet. I'll let you know as soon as it is.

Update: Ticketmaster has added the show to their website.

  • And the "Half House" stage setup seems to be confirmed for Dallas:

  • "I just got off the phone with the American Airlines Center in Dallas....and they confirmed that it is nearly a half stage set up- "Slightly larger than half stage" is how they put it.  The front sections (10, 11, and 12) have 11 rows.  The next sections (13, 14, and 15) all start again at row A - not sure how many rows, but I will be about 20 rows back!"

    (Thanks J)

    July 23rd

  • Only one pre-sale today - The Hollywood Bowl, starting at 10am pacific. Use the code 9SRXDE for the fan club pre-sale. There's also an American Express pre-sale starting at noon pacific, but I don't have that code. If anyone does, please send it in. Thanks and good luck with the tickets today!

  • Update: The code in the golden box at thecure.com is WRONG. There is no R at the beginning of the code.

    July 22nd

  • Unbelievably, the Ashlee Simpson collaboration is still a remote possibility. Here's the story from Billboard:

  • July 21st

  • Here's the latest on the Hollywood Bowl presale that I just sent to the L.A. list:

  • Ticketmaster has updated their website and added the following pre-sale info:

    Fan Club Presale:
    Start:Mon, 07/23/07 10:00 AM PDT
    End:Fri, 07/27/07 06:00 PM PDT

    American Express:
    Start:Mon, 07/23/07 12:00 PM PDT
    End:Fri, 07/27/07 10:00 PM PDT

    HEWITT/SILVA & KROQ PRES
    THE CURE
    WWW.THECURE.COM
    HOLLYWOOD BOWL
    RAIN OR SHINE/NO GLASS/CAN
    SUN OCT 14 2007 6:30 PM
    Ticket prices are $35.00 - $135.00

So I guess thecure.com WILL be having a Hollywood Bowl pre-sale, despite the show not being listed on their pre-sale list.

Update: The code for thecure.com pre-sale is 9SRXDE

  • Here's a new interview from Adelaide Now.

  • And this one from the New Zealand Herald is a variation on that South China Morning Post interview.

  • The New Zealand Herald also has a review of Jeff Apter's book 'Never Enough'.

  • Looks like the Tampa show will use the "Half House" stage setup:

  • "I called the St. Pete Times Forum again today, they told me that they are using the half-house setup."

    (Thanks Tom)

  • There's some confusion about the Dallas setup. Here's what the American Airlines Center website says:

  • "This special performance by The Cure will be in an intimate theater style set-up and only 8,000 tickets will be made available!"

But if you check out the tickets that TM are selling, they're all over the arena, indicating a normal "End Stage" setup. Has anyone tried calling the arena to see what they say? If so, please let me know.

    (Thanks John)

  • As good as the Houston pre-sale was, the regular sale today was even better. I know 2 fans who were able to get front row tickets this morning. Congratulations!

  • July 20th

  • Round 2 of the Amnesty International auction starts today. This round and the next one will feature the North Anerican shows.

  • More pre-sales and a regular on-sale today:

  • Boston - the pre-sales are over and the regular on sale starts at 10am today.

Tampa - Ticketmaster has a generic "Internet pre-sale" listed for today at 10am, but I have no idea who's doing it or what the password is.

    Houston - Both pre-sales start at 10am.
Toyota Center Insider password is ROBERT
      Live Nation/Nokia password is QUICK

    Dallas - Both pre-sales start at 10am
Ticketmaster - they have a "Venue/Live Nation/TM" pre-sale listed, but I don't know what the password will be.
      Live Nation/Nokia password: QUICK

You can also use the Ticket Rush website for Houston and Dallas. Use the QUICK password.

    July 19th

  • Another great Cure artice from Billboard. This time they're talking about plans for the 30th anniversary and the next set of remastered albums.

  • (Thanks Ryan and Jim)

  • And here's that interview from the South China Morning Post.

  • Salt Lake City fans - still no word from thecure.com about your pre-sale, but I went to the Promotions page at Smiths Tix, entered the RT38XS9 password, and it brought up a Cure pre-sale page. So you might want to try doing that around 10am local time and see if it works.

  • Update:
Yes, it does work. And again, no Ticketmaster = great floor seats available.

  • 9 different shows go on pre-sale today, so let's get right to it:

  • Atlanta - pre-sale starts at 10am eastern. Thecure.com password is RT38XS9.

    Boston -
    pre-sale starts at 10am eastern.
      Thecure.com password is RT38XS9.

      BU password is HEAVEN.

    Tampa -
    pre-sale starts at 10am eastern. Thecure.com password is RT38XS9.

    Dallas - pre-sale starts at 10am central.
      Thecure.com password is RT38XS9.
      KDGE password is EDGE.

    Houston -
    pre-sale starts at 10am central. Thecure.com password is RT38XS9.
Update: See what happens when Ticketmaster isn't involved in a pre-sale? Fantastic floor seats offered today.

Salt Lake City - pre-sale starts at 10am mountain. The password is
    RT38XS9.

Mountain View / San Francisco -
    pre-sale starts at 10am pacific.
      Thecure.com password is TASTY.
      Nokia password is QUICK.
Live 105 password is ? (might be TASTY)

    Santa Barbara
    pre-sale starts at 10am pacific. Thecure.com password is RT38XS9.

    San Diego -
    pre-sale starts at 10am pacific. Thecure.com password is RT38XS9.

Salt Lake City is still listed at thecure.com as having a pre-sale today, but at the time of this update, there is no password posted there. If there is any news about it, I'll post it here and send it to the SLC ticket list.

    July 18th

  • Geffen has posted the passwords for the cure.com pre-sales tomorrow:

  • RT38XS9 - good for Tampa, Dallas, Boston, Atlanta, Santa Barbara, San Diego and Houston (which has never even been listed on the cure.com pre-sale list).

    TASTY - good for Mountain View/San Fran/Download.

Where is the Salt Lake City code? They have it listed as going on sale tomorrow, but no password.

  • A whirlwind of info today. Here's an update on San Diego:

  • Thanks to Brian for sending this in:

"Nothing new on Ticketmaster or Livenation. Cox Arena's webpage finally has some info.

    http://www.as.sdsu.edu/cox_arena/upcoming.html

    Tickets are $65.00, $55.00, $35.00

This is a HOB show and therefor should have a HOB presale.  I'm signed up on their mailing list and will forward anything I get.  Also, Livenation is sponsoring this one, so expect a Nokia presale using "QUICK" as the password."

The show is also listed at the House of Blues website:
    http://www.hob.com/tickets/eventdetail.asp?eventid=47460

I'll pass along anything I get ASAP.

  • Pre-sale for Houston! Here's the info I sent to the Houston list:

  • Live Nation says there will be a pre-sale on friday July 20th at 10am.

If it's the typical Live Nation/Nokia pre-sale, then the password will be QUICK.
If anyone hears anything different, please let me know.

Thanks to Ryan for the info.

  • Here's the info I sent to the Dallas list:

  • Just wanted to let you know that Ticketmaster has the Dallas show on their website and there are now 3 pre-sales listed:

Also, you can win tickets to the show on KDGE this week: http://www.kdge.com/pages/cure.html

  • Update on the Mountain View / Download Festival pre-sale today:

  • The pre-sale seems to be on, but the links don't seem to be working right now.

    http://www.livenation.com/event/getEvent/eventId/262386/
    http://www.ticketrush.com/

    The password is QUICK

Update: Looks like Live Nation got their date wrong. Ticket Rush now says the Live Nation/Nokia pre-sale is tomorrow at 10am.

  • Here's the Boston pre-sale update that I e-mailed to the Boston list last night:

  • Thanks to Rich for updating us on the BU pre-sale:

"I just spoke with my girlfriend, who is a BU alumni (I was hoping for some kind of "in"). She looked into it, and as far as she could tell, it's actually for BU employees. Kind of weird, but that's apparently what it is. She'll let me know if she can find anything else, but I'm not keeping my fingers crossed."

If anyone hears anything else, please send it in and I'll pass it on to everyone. Thanks!

Update: The Ticketmaster BU password is HEAVEN.

(Thanks to Brian and Dann for the password)

  • And here's the confusing Mountain View/Download Festival pre-sale update that I e-mailed to the Mountain View list last night:

  • Some confusion tonight over the pre-sales for the Download Festival. Here's what the Live Nation website says:

Pre-Sale Wed, 7/18 at 10:00 am to Fri, 7/20 at 10:00 pm PST

Here's what the Ticketmaster site says:

And of course thecure.com says their pre-sale will start on July 19th at 10am pacific.

So I can't really say for sure if there's a pre-sale today or not. If there is, try using QUICK as the password. It's supposed to work on all Nokia/Live Nation pre-sales this month.
And if anyone has the the Live 105 password or any additional info about the pre-sale today, please let me know. Thanks!

Thanks to Brian and Johanna for help with this.

    July 17th

  • I just sent this to the Boston alert list:

  • Ticketmaster has added the Boston show to their website. Please note that there will be a Boston University pre-sale before the cure.com pre-sale. I'm guessing this is only for BU students, but if anyone has any other info about it, please send it in.

    Onsale to General Public:
    Fri, 07/20/07 10:00 AM EDT

    Fan Club Presale:

Barbara Bowl are subject to a wristband lottery. * Tickets available for purchase: Saturday, July 21 11:00AM

Thanks to David for the info.

  • And I just sent this to the Chicago alert list (been pretty busy today):

  • You know those terrible tickets that everyone in Chicago seemed to get from Ticketmaster? They might not be so bad after all:

"I just got off the phone with someone who works at Allstate Arena, and it appears that Ticketmaster has published the wrong seating chart for
this show.  It's actually going to be the same set-up as the seating chart for Barenaked Ladies (if you're looking on Ticketmaster).  This means that none of our seats are as bad as we thought they may be!"

So like the Vancouver and Salt Lake City shows, they are using the theatre style setup. See the attached image.

Thanks to Rodney and Brian for finding this info.

    July 16th

    July 13th

  • Don't forget the XRT pre-sale for Chicago today at 10am. The password is LOVECATS. Let's hope they offer better tickets than the cure.com pre-sale.
  • Update: For the most part, the tickets were about the same. There's still the normal sale. Will the third time be the charm?

    July 12th

  • What's happening today?

  • Fairfax / D.C. - There are at least 2 pre-sales starting today at 10am eastern.
      Cure.com - The password is
    5TS4U9X
       9:30 Club - The password is 5TS4U9X
Update: Only one pre-sale. 9:30 & cure.com are the same. Ticketmaster was 15-20 minutes late in putting up the sale page, but decent floor seats were/are available.

Chicago - The cure.com pre-sale starts at 10am central. The password is 5TS4U9X
There will also be a WXRT pre-sale starting friday at 10am central. The password is LOVECATS
Update: This pre-sale was a joke! Nothing but problems, only able to buy one ticket at a time, floor tickets all the way in the back, etc. I did hear from two people who ended up with semi decent floor seats, but they were in the minority. A LOT of disappointed Cure fans in Chicago today.

Seattle - You have 4 pre-sales to choose from. All will start at 10am pacific.
      Cure.com - The password is
    5TS4U9X
HOB/Live Nation - The password is ? (not known at this time)
Radio - The passwords are MOUNTAIN and THEEND
Nokia - The password is QUICK
Update: On the opposite side of the scale, Seattle seemed pretty flawless. Many happy e-mails this afternoon from fans who got great floor seats. The MOUNTAIN and QUICK passwords were said to work the best, and are still pulling some very good floor seats.

  • The Dallas pre-sale has been postponed until July 19th and Tampa IS on the 19th as originally scheduled. Here's the note from Geffen on thecure.com:

The presales for the Tampa, FL St Pete Times Forum and the Dallas, TX American Airlines Center shows will now be held next week Thursday July 19th.

Ticketmaster.com shows the Tampa show onsale this weekend but it is an error that is being corrected.

    July 10th

  • New album delayed until 2008? That's what this interview from Channel NewsAsia says (no it's an old quote, see update below).

  • Update: At least one part of this "new" interview was pulled from a DotMusic interview from last December. So that Christmas deadline was from LAST YEAR. Sort of makes you wonder about the rest of this "interview".

(Thanks Pam and to Natalie for finding the old interview)

  • Upcoming Lol interview:

  • (Thanks Tracy)

  • Can't remember if I posted this before, but check out Tim Pope's website. Lots of good stuff there.

  • (Thanks Dennis)

  • A prequel to the 'A Strange Day' comic book:

  • "There's a comic book coming out in September by Damon Hurd and Tatiana Gill called "Pictures of You," a prequel to "A Strange Day." You can
    read about it here: http://comicsworthreading.com/2007/07/08/pictures-of-you/"

    (Thanks Jay)

  • Don't forget to pick up a copy of Interpol's new album, 'Our Love To Admire', out today in North America (yesterday in Europe). And catch them on the Late Show with David Letterman tonight at 11:35pm eastern / 10:35pm central.

  • July 9th

  • Billboard has a great article about the new album.

  • Ticketmaster has added the Seattle show to their website:

  • Ticket prices are $39 - $59

    Onsale to General Public:
    Sat, 07/14/07 10:00 AM PDT

    Fan Club Presale:

  • Ticketmaster has also added the Tampa show to their website, but it has caused some confusion:

  • Ticket prices are $45.00 - $59.50

    Onsale to General Public:
    Sat, 07/14/07 12:00 PM EDT

    THE CURE
    WWW.THECURE.COM
    ST PETE TIMES FORUM
    * * *
    THU SEP 13 2007 7:00PM

Now thecure.com says the Tampa pre-sale is on July 19th, which wouldn't make any sense if they go on sale to the public on July 14th. So who has the bad info? Better be ready for a July 12th pre-sale just in case.

    July 6th

  • WXRT in Chicago will have an announcement on monday:

  • "For those going to the Chicago concert, I just heard a WXRT DJ say to tune in between 8-8:30 a.m. Monday for an announcement about the
concert. Sounds like it might be a promotion to win tickets."

Update: "The XRT "announcement" was just the concert details that have been public knowledge for the past couple weeks, nothing more."

    (Thanks Lenore)

  • Geffen has added Fairfax and Salt Lake City to the cure.com pre-sale list:

  • Fairfax pre-sale will be at 10am eastern on July 12th

Salt Lake City pre-sale will be at 10am mountain on July 19th

  • There will be an interview with Robert in the South China Morning Post. Don't know when, but you can get a preview here.

  • (Thanks Jack)

  • The Belfast Telegraph liked The Cure's cover of 'Love':

  • "Just a short review in the Belfast Telegraph daily newaspaper for the Instant Karma CD with some complementary words for The Cure.

On the hole artists have tried to do something different with tunes that have been part of pop fabric for years. Among the better versions are
the Cure's superb cover of Love and Corinne Bailey Rae's gorgeous rendition of I'm Losing You."

    (Thanks Ali)

    July 5th

  • Finally some solid info on the Fairfax / D.C. show:

  • Just as they did with the Curiosa tour, The Cure are teaming up with Amnesty International to auction off 2 spots on the guest list and meet & greet passes for most of the shows:

  • The Cure Want You On Their Guest List!
    7/3/2007 12:22:31 PM - by Geffen

In support of Music For Human Rights, The Cure will be providing a pair of tickets and 'Meet and Greet' passes (where applicable) to Amnesty International for charity auction for most dates on their upcoming '4Tour 2007-2008' world tour. The auction will consist of several rounds, each beginning on a Friday at 9p EST and lasting 10 days.

    (Thanks Alastair)

  • NME has an article about the world tour.

  • (Thanks Steven and David)

    July 3rd

  • What's happening today?

  • Toronto - the ticket pre-sale starts today at 10am eastern and ends July 4th at 10pm eastern. The password/code is YADNUS. The show still isn't listed as I'm writing this, but it will be up soon at Ticketmaster US and Ticketmaster Canada. The code should work on both sites.
Update: As most of you know, the given code for Toronto did not work this morning. The code that did work was SADNUS. Don't know who screwed it up, TM or Geffen, but that was ridiculous. The YADNUS code is working now, and always worked for Vancouver.

Vancouver - the ticket pre-sale starts today at 10am pacific and ends July 4th at 10pm pacific. The password/code is YADNUS. Here's the Ticketmaster US site and the Ticketmaster Canada site. The code should work for both sites.

Here's that intimate seating chart for Vancouver:

And here's an idea of what it will look like (if the TM chart is correct):

Very nice! Note that the photo is from the Toronto intimate setup. They are NOT doing this setup in Toronto, I'm just using this photo because I couldn't find one for Vancouver.

Update - here's another seating chart for Vancouver.

    (Thanks Brian)

  • The Chicago show is now listed on the Allstate Arena website:

  • September 29, 2007

    Ticket prices: $65, 50
Anticipated on sale Saturday, July 14 at 10am.

And you already know that the pre-sale is on July 12th at 10am central.

  • Help save Darfur, maybe win some MSG tickets:

  • "There is a MSG ticket giveaway at a party in Queens on July 5th. Is also for a good cause.

Here is the flyer with the info: http://www.deconstructednyc.com/images/SaveDarfur.jpg

Here is the regular flyer without the Cure info: http://www.deconstructednyc.com/images/July-5-07_small.jpg

    Here is the blah,blah,blah:

    On a lighter note:
Louis Guidone's OFFICIAL Pre-BYTE show celebration will be happening here.

We welcome Ee'ah, the go-go dancer into the cage! Yes, there is a cage at Deconstructed, thanks to Chueca.

    Who needs a trimming?
Shots that are on fire are here to burn off your nose hairs. Yup, they're on fire. Ask the attractive bartenders for a CHUECA SHOT! 21+

    Music anyone?
Guest DJ SubVert (of Contempt) and guest DJ Rob Krush (of Necropolis) join resident DJs Mars, One-eyed Roxy and Haywire, for an event that
will keep you on the dance floor."

     (Thanks Paul)

    July 2nd

  • Some interesting info on the TM page for the Vancouver show. Did you notice this - "Stage between section 108 and 115 facing 111 and 112". According to the seating map, The Cure are only using about 1/3 of the arena, not the typical full or 3/4 setup. To see the chart, just go to the TM page, select Seating Chart, and select The Cure from the drop down list. If true, that would mean there's really not a bad seat to be had (maybe the 300 level, but you're still closer than normal). Let's hope they do this for some of the other shows too.

  • Thecure.com has listed the password and link for the Toronto & Vancouver pre-sales tomorrow. The password for both shows is YADNUS. The link they give is the regular US Ticketmaster site. Shouldn't it be Ticketmaster Canada? The Vancouver show is listed there, and ticket prices are CA$29.50-69.50. Normal on-sale is friday July 6th at 10am.

  • Update:
The Vancouver show is now listed at the US site. Don't know if it makes any difference where you buy them. I would think the password will work on either site.
